Who are we ?

Le Monoï

The quality of monoi oil is directly linked to its geographical Tahitian origin, the only place where you can find fresh flowers of Tiare Tahiti. This is what produces its quality and incomparable scent.

The search of a 100% natural Monoi oil

Our company was born from the difficulty to find a traditional monoi oil, which is completely natural, as the one you find in the market place of Papeete.

The proposed monoi oils are generally industrially manufactured from the copra oil (coconut meat dried and pressed), which has a characteristic pungent odor. Producers add fragrance to cover the odor. Besides some products have preservatives or dyes. Others are even mixtures containing only 50% of pure monoi oil.

Unlike industrial monoi oils, our traditional monoi oil is made from coconut milk. The coconut smell that emerges is soft and refined. But its preparation is long and needs to be done by hand. With no added fragrance, no dye, nor preservative, our traditional monoi oil can be used on all sensitive skins including baby's skin.

The use of an ancient knowledge

Our monoi oil is prepared in a traditional way according to an ancestral Polynesian recipe. Unlike industrial monoi oils, it is made from coconut milk of the variety Cocos Nucifera. The coconut milk is dried under the sun for several days to extract the oil. Fresh flowers Tiare Tahiti are added each morning and the whole is mixed. This lengthy process requires to be done by hand for twenty days. This is what gives it a light and refined fragrance that is incomparable with the strong smell of coconut oil. It has ultra-moisturizing assets.

Made in Tahiti

We run a family business based on the islands of Tahiti and Huahine. Our monoi oil is manufactured on the island of Huahine, located between Bora Bora and Tahiti islands. It is then bottled in Tahiti from where it is shipped. We also have a relay point in France to reduce the shipping costs and the delivery times to certain countries.

We pay a lot of attention to the preparation of our products, their packaging, and their shipping.
